Evelyne Delbos is a geologist with a specialisation in Petroleum Geology from the French Petroleum Institute (IFP), Paris. She has over 25 years experience in providing geological and mineralogical expertise to the Oil & Gas Industry. She specialises in the use of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and associated techniques. Her expertise is mostly with geological material but also extends to metal corrosion products and materials of biological origin associated with soils. Her specific interest is in the identification and characterisation of minerals by SEM and the understanding of their impact on reservoir quality. She also has a keen interest in the detection of solid-induced and fluid-induced mechanisms causing formation damage, using both standard and cryogenic SEM methods. Evelyne is head of the Institute's Electron Microscopy section, servicing both the research and commercial sectors.
