Helen Pendlowski

Helen Pendlowski first gained her honours degree in Geology and Petroleum Geology from the University of Aberdeen, before moving to Cardiff University and completing a masters with distinction in Applied Environmental Geology.

Her masters dissertation project was completed at the Macaulay Institute, while working with Steve Hillier, and was entitled 'Utility of Quantitative X-ray Powder Diffraction Methods to Determine the Forms of Lead in Selected Contaminated Soils'. Currently Helen works in the XRPD lab and is involved with projects from both the commercial and research sectors. These projects focus on X-ray diffraction and related techniques, which include surface area and porosity analysis.
